Lehigh County Achieves NAME Accreditation

On April 26, 2024, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center announced they achieved full accreditation from the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME.)

Lehigh County now holds accreditation from two international standards organizations, having been already accredited by the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners.

Pennsylvania has 6 county death investigation operations accredited by either IACME or NAME, leading the nation. Lehigh county is the first Pennsylvania coroner’s office (and only the third in the nation) to be accredited by both.

Congratulations to Lehigh County on their achievement and their dedication to advanced death investigation.
